Wenn Sie glauben, dass das Wort „King“ im Namen eines Peacoats den „König“ der Peacoats bedeutet, ist das nicht ganz richtig. Vielleicht könnte man es in Bezug auf Aussehen und Robustheit so charakterisieren. Der Peacoat ist nach dem amerikanischen Admiral Ernest Joseph King benannt, der im Zweiten Weltkrieg die US-Marine führte. Dieser Mann war an der Planung und Verwaltung militärischer Operationen auf See beteiligt. Er war der zweite Offizier, der zum Admiral der Flotte befördert wurde.
